Recommended Weapon Cards

Ever wonder how the others have 5 to 6-digit damage when using skills? Using the right cards when battling certain monsters or bosses makes a very huge difference. You should use them depending on the race, size or elements of the opponents. By the way, this article is meant for Assassins only, but could only be used as a guide for race and size cards by other classes.
note: Ill be using my own words to describe anything about the cards to give them more sense. You'd notice that they are a bit off from the actual description in the game.

Weapon Cards

Size cards

All monsters in Rune Midgard are categorized into three - small, medium and large. Most MVPs are sized large and this is the main reason why Minorous card is in high demand. In PVP however, players are sized medium and the race is demi-human (obviously).

Desert Wolf Card

Card type - weapon card
Effect - Damage to Small sized monsters + 25%, ATK +15
Draw/Loot permanent buff - ATK+8
Adventurer book storage effect - adds 25% more damage to small monsters if damage to small monsters is more than 50% (51% and higher)
Notes: size cards are usually expensive since they cover a lot of monsters

Skeleton Worker Card

Card type - weapon card
Effect - Damage to medium sized monsters + 15%, ATK +15
Draw/Loot permanent buff - MaxHP+28
Adventurer book storage effect -
Notes:
Very in demand since players in PVP are sized medium, this adds damage when doing PVP. You can only get this card from King Poring in Prontera south.

Minorous Card

Card type - weapon card
Effect - Damage to large sized monsters + 25%, ATK +15
Draw/Loot permanent buff - ATK+8
Adventurer book storage effect - adds 25% more damage to large monsters if damage to large monsters is more than 50% (51% and higher)
Notes:
Like I mentioned before, this is high in demand because most of the MVPs are large sized.

Element Cards

There are 10 elements in Ragnarok Mobile - earth, wind, fire, water, shadow, holy, undead, poison, ghost and neutral. Like any other game, certain elements deal more damage on one element but deals half on another. For guidance on damage amplification, please see the table below:

Race Cards

Now for the race cards.. there are also 10 races in Rune midgard and they are Angel, brute, demi-human, demon, dragon, fish, formless, insect, plant and undead.

NOTE: There is a hierarchy between race, size and element damage but I can not find the information. If ever you know this information, please comment below so that I could update this article. Thank you so much!

Hydra card

For formless monsters..
Pecopeco Egg card

Card type - weapon card
Effect - Damage to formless monsters +15%
Draw/Loot permanent buff - MaxHP + 24
Adventurer book storage effect -

For Insect monsters..
Rafflesia card

Card type - off-hand card
Effect - Damage to insect monsters +25%
Draw/Loot permanent buff - Damage to insect +1%
Adventurer book storage effect -
Notes: Rafflesia is a Mini boss - one of the reasons why this card is expensive. What's great about this card is that it is an off-hand card, which means the 2 slots in your weapon is available for either elemental or size cards.

For Demon monsters..
Strouf card

Card type - weapon card
Effect - Damage to demon monsters +25%
Draw/Loot permanent buff - Damage to demon +2%
Adventurer book storage effect -
Notes: very expensive since this is a MVP card. But if you can have this, it is very useful in grinding in Glast Heim.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll end this article with a tip: Elemental cards are the cheapest you can get. If you have a target monster to farm on, consider whichever card is cheaper. I'll update this article whenever I can, for now, I need to end this here. Thank you!

  1. Hi,

So, we all know that Sandstorm + 1 mino card slotted + 1 mino card equipped can trigger the +50% ignore def depo of Mino.

My question is: If I have a 2 slotted Sandstorm, if I was going against something that is not a Large - would it be better to still equip the 1 Mino + 1 other card to get the 50% ignore def, or would it be better to go 2 other cards (example: 1 hydra 1 skel worker in PVP)?

    1. in PVP, it would be better NOT to use mino card since it will not do anything different. And for the choice of either skel worker or hydra, I know it is evident that you would want the hydra because of the higher percentage damage (20%) compared to the skel worker which is only 15% BUT I have heard somewhere that the dmg being modified by race and size (and element) are totally different.

Think of it this way: (not saying that this is it, this is just a hypothesis)
      size > race > element
the way that the modifiers go into the equation is different, depending on what it modifies. Say for example (still not the real equation), size modifiers adds final dmg (after all the equation) while race modifiers modify base damage before it goes into the equation. For sure, the one that modifies final dmg will have significant difference compared to the one that increases raw damage. Why? because even if you add raw (base) dmg, the equation for final damage includes deductions such as the opponent's hard and soft defense, elemental compatibility and finally your choice of weapons' size penalty. (I hope it makes sense)

I did not include race into the equation because technically all players are demi-human and that this is a constant variable in all equation.

    2. I've seen online (or rather, in FB), that many claim that the 'insight' brought by the mino card in the adventurer book is applicable to all sizes. And I mean the +50% -def. So, I'd like to have second thoughts on my first comment that the MINO card is useless in pvp.
