Available (and unavailable) features in Ragnarok Mobile: Eternal Love CBT

I am one of the lucky ones who was able to download and install the CBT and since not all of us got the same chance, I'll share with you some of the key features (and some of the features that are not available) in it that might also be launched in the OBT.

CBT is launched with Glastheim (aka Episode 1) and it is rumored confirmed that OBT will also be launched with it. I have not seen any news about bugs that were seen in the CBT so there's a large chance that OBT's release will be exactly the same. This means, a lot of features are going to be released in OBT and I've listed here all of the key features that I know of, just because I'm too lazy to check all of them or rather, too busy to grind in CBT to do so.

Without further ado, here they are:

1. Merchant class is available.
I know there are a lot of Blacksmith fans out there but it is not the only reason why a lot of players are looking forward to this class. Most players want this class because of its ability to vend. However, when merchant was first released in China, the vending ability was still unavailable. So, we should expect that it is going to be the same when OBT comes out.

2.Account Security (PIN) is available.
This is great, gives additional security to your account in case your phone gets stolen because the thief wants your ROM account so badly!

3. Flywing button in map.
When you open the map by tapping on the mini map on the top-right, you will notice a flywing button beside the magnifying icon. This lets you use a flywing so that you can easily track wherever you are when you try to go to a certain part of the map and the flywing does its' job of teleporting you on a random location in it.

4. Warm Dish is NOT time-related.
Before, Warm dish is time-limited. It gives you a certain SP and HP recovery over a period of time. But here in CBT, it is limited to its total HP and SP. And the recovery is triggered when your HP or SP reaches a certain amount (like 40% and below). I found this VERY useful when I was grinding in Vitatas in Anthell. I was able to put SonicBlow in auto skill slot without having troubles of depleting my SP supply.

5. Job switching NOT available.
PS: Let me be clear on this one: Job switching into other class is not yet available BUT switching to your lateral class IS available (i.e Priest to monk or SinX to Rogue)
This feature is available in the China server but is still NOT available in CBT. I'm guessing they will make it available once WOE is released in SEA OBT as well.

5.1 Alternate Jobs are available - Crusader, Monk, Rogue and Whitesmith(?). I'm not sure with whitesmith to be honest. LOL

6. The inventory options.
In the inventory window, swipe down from the top to reveal three buttons.

The first button is for stacking items into your Kafra storage. For example, you already have Topaz in your Kafra storage and your're in anthell grinding. By pressing this button, the topaz in your bag will be transferred into your Kafra inventory. It only works with items that are currently in your Kafra storage.

The middle button is for quick-sell, which sells all of the trash items (npc weapons dropped by monsters) without having to go to a trade NPC.

And the last button is for sorting your items. Click it, sort it.

All of these can be activated ANYWHERE. Which means you can grind all you want without having to go back to an NPC and sell the trash. Not only that, it is also useful when you are doing Endless towers or GRs.

7. Costumes are available!
This feature is rather new in China as well, and I'm glad it looks like they are bringing it over to SEA OBT in the opening! As you could see, it is only one item but changes your over-all looks. NEAT!

8. Multiple targets NOT available.
In China server now, you can choose multiple targets by clicking on their respective checkboxes beside the monster names when you press the auto-attack button. But here in CBT, it seems like it is not available yet. Too bad, it's a really good feature.

9. Mini WoE is available.
To add some fun in your PVP battles or to just practice your WOE skills, they've added the Mini WOE wherein you battle for the Empirium with a couple of opponents. Same principle applies.

Other features available:
10. Pet labor system - you send your pet into labor and you get rewards over time. The time and amount of reward is dependent on the intimacy level of your pet.
11. Cooking system  is applied. Very useful especially to compensate with your SP consumption.
12. Butler system is applied - It actually like a reward system where in you get rewards upon accumulating certain points - points that you get when performing certain tasks. If you reach 100 points a day you get a blue BigCat Voucher which can be used for gacha. So, if you complete the tasks (100 points) per day for 30 days, you get a chance at gacha once per month.
The other use of Butler is to check the market trends. It gives you data about which items' price went up or down - kinda useful for those marketing-inclined people.

There you have it folks! I hope this article hypes you up more about the upcoming release of Ragnarok M: Eternal Love SEA! I'll see you guys out there!

Ragnarok Mobile Dual Login on your Smartphone

EDIT:
Playing Ragnarok Mobile on split-screen SIMULTANEOUSLY (at the same time) is not working on MOST latest smart phone models. It is always safe to try the method mentioned below but if it really doesn't work even if you had installed the 64-bit support for either Dr. Clone or Parallel Space, then you are doomed.

In Ragnarok Mobile, heck, even in the classic RO, having dual login is a huge advantage. Tagging along your alternate support Priest will always come in handy especially if you want to grind on maps where the monster's level is higher than yours at almost ANYTIME!

Since not all of us have access to a computer which can easily run multiple instances of android emulators, the only viable option to do dual login is thru smartphones - or if you have more than one smartphone, then good for you! Since newer models come with higher processors and GPUs that can perform multitasking, dual login can be done in almost every smart phone - ALMOST. This means, not all smartphones can run dual login - may it be because the phone's specs can't handle dual login, or the phones' installed OS doesn't support it.

Even if your phone says it has either Nougat or Oreo, smartphones have varying versions of the operating system (android) and it usually is dependent on the manufacturer of your phone who, in that case, pre-installed your phone with their own version of android and it is up to them if they allow split screen or not. Worry not though, you can opt to install a custom ROM on your phone so that you can enable split screen. I'm not going to teach you how because there are tons of tutorials in YouTube! Just go and find one that is specific for you device model.

NOTE:
Split screening on your smartphone doesn't mean you can now run ROM in dual login. Even if you get it to split screen, only one of the instances would continue to play - depending on which instance you have last made reactions with. I checked online and found Dr. Clone. It's one of those apps that duplicate your app, letting you use two accounts without having you log out and log back in.

I know you have the idea of how it works; so here's what you'll need to do to run dual login on Ragnarok mobile:

1. Download Dr. Clone from the Playstore.
2. Follow the instructions on duplicating an app - duplicate Ragnarok Mobile.
3. Do not run Ragnarok mobile yet! If you were able to patch the whole game before duplicating, you'll need to copy the data files from the root folder into the duplicated folder so that you won't have to patch them again for the duplicated Ragnarok Mobile.
4. Open a file manager app (if you don't have any, I suggest downloading FileExplorer from the Playstore)
5. Navigate to Internal Storage > Android > data
6. Copy the folder named com.xd.ro (might be different in Ragnarok Mobile SEA)
7. Navigate to Internal Storage > Dr. Clone > Android > data and paste the folder here.
8. Wait. (the folder is almost 2Gb, you'll have to wait for your phone to finish copying before you can play, or if your phone supports background processes then you can facebook or do other stuff while waiting)
9. Run the duplicated ROM to see if it works. If it does, open the multi-tasking feature of your android phone ( it is usually the three-bar icon to the left of the home button on the bottom part of your screen)
10. You should see 'split screen' on the top of the app cards that you see now. Click on it then long-press the duplicated Ragnarok Mobile app card and drag it to the split screen area.
11. It will open on the top-half of the screen. Now, you can press the bottom half and then run the original Ragnarok Mobile app.
12. It will kick back into half screen but now, you should be looking at two ragnarok mobile apps running on your screen, side to side.

Please take note that the instructions might be a bit different on your mobile. But this is the whole idea of the dual login. If you have further questions, feel free to ask.

NOTE: If it doesn't work, download Dr. Clone 64-bit support. Your phone might be 64-bit, that's why Dr. Clone is having issues. installing 64-bit support together with Dr.Clone should fix that issue.

Ragnarok Mobile minimum requirements

Image result for ragnarok mobile

I know we all are waiting patiently for the official release of Ragnarok Eternal Love SEA (Ragnarok Mobile) and some of us are actually looking into upgrading their phones to make sure they can play it when it becomes available. However, I have not found any single article that discusses the minimum requirements to play the game and I don't really have any idea what they could be. But, having been able to play the game when it was first released in open beta using a two year old phone that I had back then, I think I could share an idea of what you should at least look for a phone, when considering buying one to play Ragnarok Mobile.

When the game was officially launched in January 2017, I was still using my 2 y/o Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5". It didn't have any issues or lags when playing the game but since the game itself had heavy graphics and a lot of moving objects, NPCs included, the battery drains fast. Of course this is true to all mobile phones so to play longer I had to play with lower graphics.

Considering how old my phone was - the chip sets included - we can have a basis of what specs we need for a phone that can play Ragnarok mobile. Below are the specs of my Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5":

OSAndroid 5.0 (Lollipop), upgradable to 6.0 (Marshmallow)
ChipsetQualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410
CPUQuad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53
GPU
RAM
Adreno 306
8/16 GB, 2 GB RAM
(source: GSMarena)

With all the new phones that came out recently, I think I can say the least that the below specs can play Ragnarok Mobile:

CPU: at least Quad-core 1.3 GHz or higher
GPU: at least Adreno 306 or higher
RAM: atleast 2 GB or higher
ROM: at least 16 GB or higher

Please take note that some players say that the game, including the updates upto Episode 5, reaches up to 6 GB worth of ROM. So if you only have 8 GB as an internal storage, there will be no more room for updates if the game releases the next episodes. (FYI Android OS eats up to 4-5 GB of storage)

Now that we have a basis, some of you who want lag-free and frame-drop-free experience can opt to look for the higher end specs on phones. What comes together with using high-end phones is the ability to use dual-login, proven useful for grinding and farming in the higher levels.

Some people may disagree with me that the specs listed here may be a little too low for playing the game. Like I said, it CAN play the game. BUT, I haven't really tried it in WoE. If you want to play WoE then you will want to opt for the higher specs phone.

However, if you have a PC, I'd rather have you play the game using emulators because playing extensively on your phone will have it damaged over time. And, depending what's under the hood of your PC, you can play an unlimited number of instances of the game - one per character - and have a party either running around like a 'train-to-busan' grinding and farming or play the tower with a complete party all by your self.

I hope you find this information useful the least. I'd like to emphasize again that this is based on my own experience and that you are free to tell me otherwise if you think that I am wrong.
